Logan (Anna M.) House

Built c.1888-90; Eastlake style
123 N. Mill St; private residence
Ventura County Historical Landmark #84

Completed in 1889, it was the new home of Mrs. Anna Mary Logan and her three children. Following the death of her husband in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Logan chose to move to Santa Paula because a sister and family were already here. She purchased the one-acre parcel which included an existing dwelling with a well, windmill and barn for $400.00 in gold coins! After this house was completed, the original one and a second smaller cottage which she had built were let as rentals. The home remains the finest example of the Eastlake Style in town.
