Built c. 1888; Craftsman/Tudor style
212 N. Mill St
Ventura County Historical Landmark #69
Built in 1888 by the Southern Mill and Warehouse Company, it was one of five such facilities they built along the new railroad lines in both Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Providing a general commission and brokerage business, the company handled locally grown lima beans, hay, grains, honey and dried apricots and shipped them as the markets demanded. It is today the future home of the Ventura County Farm Heritage Museum, expected to open in 2008.
